Baby Bump Alert!

As requested, here is a recent Baby Bump picture. I am approximately 17 weeks. On July 3rd I am having my ultrasound, although we won't be finding out the gender since we want to be surprised.

Ronan's Birthday - Part Two

We had a second birthday party for Ronan on Saturday, the 14th - his actual birthday. It was a small party, just our immediate families (except my sisters who were in far away lands). Since the weather was unpredictable, we had the party at our house instead of at the park.

Ronan went straight for the presents. He loved pulling out all the tissue paper and discovering what surprises were in the big gift bags. Ooohhh! A Curious George video!

He loved blowing the candle out, and he did it all by himself! He kept asking Daddy to re-light it!

He wasn't too sure about the cake. He wanted to eat it like a cupcake, but all the icing was getting his hands dirty, and he didn't like that!

Ronan's Birthday Party - Part One

Today we had the first of two parties to celebrate Ronan's 2nd birthday. We invited his friends and their mommies to Lake Padden Park and had a great time playing on the playground and eating yummy cupcakes. Here are some pictures from our time at the park.

Nice shoes, Ronan! In case it's hard to tell from this photo, he's wearing pink sandals with white & red socks. It turns out that his Mommy (that's me!) forgot to put shoes on him before we left the house! Thank goodness that friend Krissy grabbed an extra pair of her daughter's shoes for him to wear!

A big birthday boy smile!

...Danielle got a little messier...

...but Ronan "takes the cake" for being the messiest cupcake eater at the party!

He sure did enjoy the icing!

Renovations have started!

This past Monday was our seventh wedding anniversary, and Collin gave me the option of two things to celebrate. We could either, 1) go to a condo on the beach for a night, or 2) we could start our house renovations. I chose the renovations!

On Monday Collin ripped out a section of our kitchen cabinets and the linoleum that was infront of the cabinets. Underneath we found the most beautiful orange and brown lino, and under that was what I assume was the original kitchen flooring.

Nice! (Yes, I am being sarcastic)

Isn't it beautiful!?!

Our first plan of action is to move the wall that separates the kitchen and bathroom two feet into the kitchen (yes, the kitchen will be smaller, but with the new cabinets, I'll actually have 62 more inches of countertop that I do now!). The doorway that I'm standing in to take this picture will be gone and so our kitchen will be accessible only by the dining room. We went to Lowe's yesterday and bought all the materials necessary to erect an interior wall - I love that my husband is smart and handy!

I'll keep you updated on any and all progress!
