A picture is worth a thousand words...

...but in this case the ten words on Latham's t-shirt say it all!

The next baby McLoughlin will be arriving around January 15th, 2011!

Ronan's 4th Birthday!

Ronan's 4th birthday was on Monday, so on Sunday we had a family party for him up in Abbotsford at my parents' house. The weather was rainy (what's new?!) so we had the festivities indoors.

After burgers on the barby, it was time for cupcakes. On our shopping trip the day before he was very excited to pick out the cake mix that he wanted and the frosting and sprinkles too.

It took four tries, but he finally blew the candle out!

Of course, Auntie Delta joined us from Saskatoon via Skype.

Ronan waited very patiently to open his birthday presents.

Latham helped him open them when it was time.

Ronan got some great presents; a soccer ball, Moonsand, and lots of Thomas the Train!

Hangin' out with family.

On Monday, his actual birthday, we had a birthday party at our house and invited all our friends.

A while back I had asked him what theme he wanted for his birthday - he didn't even hesitate "Thomas the Train!"

Sorry, Carrie I didn't have a picture of you!

Opening presents!

I even had matching Thomas the Train shirts for the boys to wear to the party!

Latham protesting something. Probably something to do with the fact that Ronan got presents and he didn't - he had a hard time with that.

Happy Birthday Ronan!

Painting

I finally remembered to buy some more paint brushes for the boys when we were out last week, so they spent some time one afternoon painting masterpieces.

This was Latham's first experience with painting at home although he has a chance every week at the siblings class that we attend on Thursdays.

He was having a good time.

I must say, most of Ronan's paintings all look the same these days - they tend to be monochromatic and he covers the entire paper with paint, from corner to corner. This masterpiece is a work-in-progress.

Of course, one of the boys is bound to get paint on his face, although I'm not exactly sure how it happened this time.

They went from painting right into the bath tub in order to wash off any body art that unintentionally happened.

Our 9th Anniversary

Today marks Collin's and my 9th wedding anniversary! We went out for dinner over the weekend to celebrate, and my dear Collin mentioned that it doesn't seem like it's been that long - he said it felt more like 5 or 6 years that we've been married. I think that's a good thing!

There was a knock at the door this morning and I was completely clueless as to who it could be. When I opened the door a delivery lady was standing there with a huge arrangement for me! The flowers are absolutely beautiful and will be enjoyed for a long time since there are still some buds that will open in the coming days.

I love you Collin, and I'm looking forward to many, many more anniversaries!
