Ronan turned 5 on Tuesday (!!!), and the day before we had a birthday party for him. We had had his family party before Daddy left for Argentina, so the second party was for his friends.
He requested a Wild Kratts-themed party (Wild Kratts is currently his favorite TV show), but since the show is so new, there is no retail merchandise for it yet, and I had to create my own party supplies.
When asked what he wanted for his birthday, Ronan replied "a pretend creature power suit"; I made him one by modifying a few t-shirts.
I also designed the "creature power discs" using a label making program on the computer. The children earned these for participating in the games I had planned.
A candid picture of the group - 10 adults, 16 children, and 6 babies!
Opening presents - by far the most favorite part of any children's birthday party!
All the children were excited to have Ronan open theirs next.
The birthday boy!
The favors doubled as the table centerpiece.

Cupcakes!
I also made these cupcake picks - they read "Happy 5th Birthday Ronan!" on one side, and had a picture of the show's characters on the other. When I found myself gluing little papers to toothpicks, I officially declared myself crazy. Latham, please pick a party theme that I can purchase supplies for!
