Ronan the Soccer Star!

Ronan participated in the YMCA's youth soccer league this past September and October. He loved it and, when it was over, immediately asked when it would start again. He's already signed up for the spring league.

His favorite positions were goalie and defense, and he made some great saves in those positions.

His team, the Blue Dolphins, had a great record - 5 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie. The games were just for fun, and no official score was kept, but of course the parents kept count in their heads.

...and then he's off, driving towards the goal.

Ronan did great, he even scored a goal in one of the games! The look on his face afterwards was priceless - he was so proud of himself!

A Few of Finnian's Firsts

Finnian has grown so much in the last few months, and has passed some important milestones along the way.

In July he started on solid food. He was intrigued at first and then confused, and he made a big mess just as babies are supposed to do.

After he got the hang of it all over the next few weeks, he began loving mealtimes and regularly packs it in. I don't know where he puts it all, but I do know that what goes in must come out, and I've been buying diapers much more frequently now.

Sitting up independently occured in August as well. Look at all that hair!

Once he could sit up independently bathtime became much more enjoyable for him and for me. He loves to splash!

Crawling came shortly after sitting - boy, is he fast!

Pulling up to standing came after crawling and he is working on standing without holding on to anything. Notice the baby-proofing that we've had to put up again. We have three of these gates downstairs alone.

Four teeth now!

Tuckered out after another long day of learning about his world.

We're back up and running now, with a new desktop computer so that I can continue the blog. So check back tomorrow when I'll have a couple new blog posts, and hopefully by the end of the week I will be up-to-date.
