My little Sweet Pea

I just decided to post this picture because I love it.

I love being a Mommy - it is the best, most rewarding thing that I have ever done in my entire life. I am so lucky to be a stay-at-home Mommy to two wonderful, precious little souls who enrich my life more than I could ever have imagined. Thank you, boys!

Hangin' out on his Playmat

My friend Kathleen gave Latham this neat play mat and he has a ball on it! He loves the colorful fish that hang above his head, and he kicks the ball around with his feet. I like it because it keeps Latham active and entertained, and it also matches the swing that we have for him. I've gotten some great video of him going nuts on the playmat; he has so much fun!

Hangin' out on his mat, but preoccupied by big brother Ronan.

Ronan is all about the camera - as soon as I try to snap some pictures of Latham, he is in there like a dirty shirt!

Ronan's Latest Haircut

Ronan was looking a little scruffy, so last week I buzzed off the majority of his hair. It was quite the fiasco since he really didn't want a haircut.

Exersaucer Baby!

About two weeks ago Latham tried out the exersaucer at Papa's house. He loved it! I kept meaning to get out the one we have here at home, but never got around to it. Collin got it out of the garage this past weekend and now Latham gets some time in it everyday. He usually only spends about ten minutes in it and then he's done for the day.

He finds the toys in it so interesting and even picked one up for the first time a few days ago. Ronan is a great big brother sharing his toys with him.

So alert and interactive - it's great!

I couldn't decide between this picture and the previous one - both are so adorable - so I posted both!

Brothers

I decided to compare one of Ronan's baby pictures with one of Latham's. I must say, they don't look anything alike. Ronan has a longer face, while Latham's a more round. Their lips however, are identical.

Ironically, Grandpa is holding the boys in both photos!

Bi-polar baby

I snapped some pictures of Latham in his swing this morning. At first he was OK and compliant, even giving me some smiles; after a minute, he was not impressed.

What a sweet smile!

Bath time reading lesson

I was giving the boys their first shared bath two days ago, and I witnessed Ronan using his foam letters to give Latham his first reading lesson.

Starting the lesson by giving Latham his own letter - X.

Ronan explaining that he will now begin.

This is the number five.

This is a "T" and this is an "R"

Soaking it all in, literally!

Finally...

After two months of sleeping in bed with me (and Collin relegated to the futon in the office), we finally decided that Latham needed to start sleeping in his crib. We re-arranged the bedrooms and turned the office into the new nursery.
Latham feeling out the new sleeping arrangement.

Usually he falls asleep in his swing, then after his night feeding I put him down in his crib. He usually cries for a few minutes, hopefully he'll get used to it really soon.

Meeting Great Grandma for the first time

A few weekends ago we took Latham and Ronan to go see Great Grandma (Collin's Grandma) so that she could meet Latham for the first time.

Great Grandma and Latham.
Too bad they weren't both looking at the camera at the same time.

Brother buddies!

Latham at two months

Latham is now two and a half months old, but these pictures were taken two weeks ago when he was just two months. Even that short a time can make such a huge difference with a little person!

I think he looks like my little sister Delta at this age - she had huge blue eyes too.

What a long and lean baby!
