Daddy's Little Helper

As many of you know, we are in the midst of home renovations, and our next step is building the new wall to separate the kitchen and bathroom. When Daddy got home from Lowe's last Saturday Ronan was SO excited to "help" him unload the lumber.

He kept repeating, "Ronan helping Daddy, Ronan helping Daddy!"
He even gets excited looking at these pictures!

Sunnyside, WA

Ronan and I just returned from a visit to Sunnyside, WA (just east of Yakima). We went with our friends, Rachelle and Krissy, and their two-year-olds, Tyler and Danielle. We stayed at Rachelle's mom's house, and had a great time.

The kiddos having fun in the apple orchard.

We came home with lots of fruit - apples, nectarines, and pears!

Relaxing at Aunt Marla's koi pond after picking the fruit.

The baby bump at 28 weeks.

Krissy sampling the local wines at a wonderful wine-tasting room. Unfortunately, neither Rachelle or myself could sample any :(
Well, there's always next year!

Four two-year-olds all sitting still at the same time!

Cookies after swimmning - this is the life!

Popsicles were a huge hit!

Kelowna Trip - August 2008

Ronan and I just returned home from a 5-day visit to the Okanagan. We stayed with my parents and my sisters, Lara and Delta, at my parents' condo in Kelowna. We had fantastic weather and a great time away from the everyday.

Little man being silly with his shovel.

Hangin' out in shades.

This birthday gift from Auntie Delta sure kept him busy when he was indoors.

He loves his blocks!

Visiting the turtles in Duck Lake.

Don't point too closely, Ronan! Mommy got bit by one!

Telling Mommy about the turtles, ducks and carp in Duck Lake.

This is what Ronan and I returned home to...

...missing bathroom walls! Standing in the bathroom, you can see right into the kitchen (through plastic sheeting)!

Ronan's first reaction was, "Oh no! My bathroom broken!"

View from the kitchen; behind the dishwasher is the bathroom. The plan is that the bathroom wall will be moved two feet into the kitchen in order to make the bathroom larger.

The Alphabet according to Ronan...

I finally got Ronan singing the alphabet on video! I did miss the initial "A" though, he started before the camera kicked on. He also sings "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and the "Five Little Monkeys Song" all the time.

The Newest Ultrasound Picture

Yesterday I had my follow up ultrasound so the doctor could get a clearer picture of Baby Deuce's heart - last time the spine was casting a shadow on it. The doc says everything looks great. We are relieved!

This picture is a profile shot; the baby is looking up and the eyes, mouth and little button nose are visible at the top.
