Second attempt...

This picture will give you a better indication of the bump...the last one didn't show that much!

Updated baby bump picture

Here I am at 24 weeks. Only 16 more to go until Ronan's little brother or sister arrives on the scene! The baby is finally making his/her presence known...I am now feeling him/her everyday wriggling around in there.

A Big Boy Bed!

Since Ronan has been able to climb in and out of his crib for a few months now, and since Baby Deuce will need the crib in November, we decided to get Ronan a big boy bed. We set it up yesterday and he loves it! Nap time went off without a hitch, and when he was ready for bed he came up to me and excitedly asked, "Big boy bed?!"

A picture with Daddy to mark the milestone of the first nighttime sleep in his new bed.

All smiles!

When Collin and I left the room so that he could sleep, he got a little whiny. Daddy stayed a little while longer to get him used to the bed. Since there was no crying fit and since he didn't fall off the bed, I think the first night was a success!

Stanley Park water park!

Today Ronan and I took my sister, Lara, out for lunch to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Afterwards we met up with some friends at Stanley Park's water park. Ronan and his friend, Lola, had a great time splashing in the water.

Mommy forgot his swim trunks (and they matched his hat too!) so Ronan had to wear just a swim diaper - it kinda looks like a Speedo! Mommy sure is suffering from placenta brain these days!

Getting used to the cold water.

Luckily, Lola matched Ronan in the fashion department.

Thanks, Danny for the ice cream cones!

Ice cream buddies!

The Booga-Booga Dance

Ronan thought that a box of his diapers made a great stage to dance on. He was dancing up a storm when Daddy came home, so Daddy joined in. They had a great time doing the Booga-Booga dance. Ronan said "cheese" when he noticed that I had the camera out.

Baby Deuce's First Ultrasound Pictures

As I mentioned on a previous post, I had my ultrasound on July 3rd. Collin came with me and together we saw the first images of our second child. The session went well except for one little blip - after the doctor did all the measurements, lightning struck nearby and we temporarily lost power...we also lost all the measurements, so the doctor had to take them again.

Frontal face shot with the baby laying sideways (forehead on the right). He/She has a skeleton face.

The baby is facing downwards with the spine stretching horizontally across the top.

The doctor wasn't able to get a clear shot of the heart since the spine was casting a shadow on it, so we are going back in less than four weeks for another one.

Independence Day and Strawberries

We had a great 4th of July - food, fireworks and our friends, Phil & Cecelia. Ronan didn't stay up for the fireworks, they were too late, and we didn't think he would appreciate them anyways. There's always next year!

Little man in his U.S.A. shirt with his flag.

Collin unpacking the stash that we got.

The cannons and rockets were the most fun. But I also like the tanks and the buzzing bees.

This isn't even all of them - our friends brought over some too! We had enough to last for three straight hours! Sorry, we didn't take any pictures of us actually setting them off.

Cousin Lauryn came over and Ronan, her and I went picking strawberries. We picked 14 lbs today. Ronan had a lot of fun and kept saying, "More strawberries, more strawberries!" Of course ice cream cones were in order after we were finished.
